Trinity Manor takes Champion Producer for 4th year running!!
Trinity Manor Farm Ltd's grip on the prestigious award of Island Champion Producer continued with success in the 2006
competition, winning for the fourth year in a row - with three separate cows!!
The Island Champion Producer awards are based on milk, fat and protein production in the last completed recording year which ended 30th Sept 2005 - while animals
must also re-calve within 14 months. The Pioneer Trophy is awarded to owner of the sire the five highest producing
daughters satisfying the criteria. The trophies were awarded at the Island Spring Show on 26th May 2007.
Senior Champion Producer (and winner of The Riley Trophy and The Carson Scales) -
"Advancers Ixia - VG86"
'Ixia' was bred by Vernon Pallot of St. Clement, and was purchased by Trinity Manor Farm Ltd in 2002. She calved at the age of 6 years
and 5 months, and produced 8,825 kgs milk @ 5.54% BF 489 kgs BF 3.75% Protein 331 kgs Protein in her 305 day lactation.
Sired by Libs You'll Do Advancer, 'Ixia' has also proved herself in the showring, placing 2nd in the Young Cow class
at the 2003 Island Winter Show.
